Privacy Policy

Effective: October 23, 2026

Maya ("Maya", "we", "us") is an AI assistant service operated by Gretrix. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to gomaya.ai, app.gomaya.ai, and Maya by text message.

1. Maya is an AI

Maya is an artificial-intelligence assistant, not a human. Her replies are generated by AI models and can be wrong. Maya asks for your approval before sending messages, booking events or spending money on your behalf.

2. Information we collect

3. How we use information

4. Google user data

If you connect a Google account, Maya requests only the permissions needed for features you use. At launch these are: sending email on your behalf when you approve it (gmail.send) and viewing and editing your calendar events (calendar.events). We use this data only to provide those user-facing features in Maya. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness. No human at Gretrix reads it unless you ask us to for a specific item, it is necessary for security (for example, investigating abuse), or the law requires it.

Maya's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google user data, and anything derived from it, is never used to train or improve AI models and is excluded from Maya's shared-improvement process (section 6). You can disconnect Google at any time in Settings or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

5. Your data is kept separate from other customers

Maya serves many customers from one service, but each customer's data is isolated: conversations, memory, files and connected-account tokens are separated per customer at the database and storage level, and encrypted with a key specific to your account. No other customer's Maya can see or use your data.

6. How Maya improves, and what never leaves your account

We do not train shared AI models on customer data. Maya does get better over time through improvements to her general instructions, skills and playbooks. Those improvements are written to be generic: before any change is applied to all customers, it is stripped of customer information and reviewed by a person. Your conversations, memory, files, contacts, email, calendar content, credentials and business details are never shared with other customers or included in those improvements.

7. Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us run Maya, under contracts that limit their use (for example: cloud hosting, database, AI model providers that process requests without training on them, payment processing, and SMS delivery), when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in a merger or acquisition with notice to you. We do not sell personal information. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with third parties for marketing.

8. Text messages

If you enable texting, Maya texts you about your account and the tasks you ask for. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

9. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can export your data or delete your account in Settings. When you delete your account we delete your data and destroy your account's encryption key, except where we must keep limited records (for example, billing) by law. Backups expire on a rolling schedule.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, with per-account encryption keys, access controls, audit logs and automated isolation testing. No system is perfectly secure; we'll notify you of a breach affecting your data as required by law.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export or restrict use of your personal information. Email [email protected]; we won't discriminate against you for exercising them.

12. Children

Maya is for businesses and is not directed to children under 16.

13. Changes

We'll post updates here and notify you of material changes, and ask for your consent before using Google user data in a new way.
